A quick scroll through your social media feed or Google’s results pages will confirm that video marketing is huge. With 72% of customers saying they would rather learn about products and services via video, it’s hardly surprising that this is a bandwagon companies have been keen to jump on.

What if you’re an SME however? Chances are you’re stuck in the all-too-familiar scenario of understanding that you need to produce this type of content, but not having the time, resources, skills or budget to do so.

This is where our video marketing services come in. Below we explain our approach to video and how it can help your business grow, without breaking the bank.

A different approach to video marketing services

If you Google ‘online video marketing services’ for example, it will bring up a long list of companies competing to produce content for you. This does of course have its advantages – you pass the job onto somebody else and you’re free to focus on other aspects of your business.

Is this really how you want to operate in the long-run however?

It’s clear that video is here to stay. It is in fact predicted that by the end of this year, 82% of all internet traffic will be video. This means that the methodology you’re using to produce content, needs to be sustainable.

It’s for this very reason that Smartphone Video Marketing offers video marketing services with a twist. Rather than producing content for you, we teach you how to do it yourself. We won’t tell you to go out and buy expensive equipment either. We simply show you how to capture everyday moments and turn them into concepts that will resonate with your audience.

So how exactly do we do this?

We teach you the skills you need to make your own content

Rather than creating videos on your behalf, we teach you how to do it yourself. As the old proverb goes:

“Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”

Having the skills to produce your own video content has many benefits:

  • If you get a sudden moment of inspiration or an opportunity presents itself out of the blue, you can start filming. This is something that simply can’t happen if you outsource the task
  • You can stick to your own schedule. Whoever you outsource to will have other projects to work on as well so there will be a turnaround time
  • It’s more authentic if your content comes directly from you. Whether it’s a short demo showcasing a product or an informal interview with a customer or member of staff, nobody knows your business better than you
  • You have complete control over timelines, concepts and design
  • If you’re outsourcing content production, chances are you have a finite budget. In order to achieve the best ROI for your videos, you need to release them consistently. You want to maintain your followers’ attention and stay top of their minds, not simply remind them you exist each time you post something. Is long-term consistency achievable if you’re limited by your budget?
  • If it’s affordable video marketing services you’re after, a DIY approach will always win

We make it cost-effective

We believe in providing affordable video marketing services which is why we encourage the use of smartphones. Believe it or not, you don’t need expensive video equipment, a big budget or years of filmmaking experience to start and scale video marketing.

How do we know? We have used smartphone video marketing in one of our B2B businesses to help grow the business into an authority in its industry. If you would like to learn more about that journey, download the e-book; ‘7 A-HA Moments That Changed The Way We Do Video Marketing Forever’.

Trust me, you have everything you need to get started sitting right in your pocket.

We embrace mobile journalism

If you’ve watched the news recently, you’ve no doubt noticed that the likes of the BBC, ITV and RTE are increasingly using smartphone video footage in primetime stories. Smartphone elements can really help to compliment a story and if global news channels are doing it, there’s absolutely no reason why SMEs can’t adopt the same principle.

Here are some great examples of smartphone video footage being used in big news stories.

2) In this clip, the main camera is on Boris Johnson, while the iPhone and FilmicPro is on Laura Kuenssberg. It’s actually very difficult to tell the difference between the footage.

3) Three cameras for one interview is rare; BBC transport correspondent Tom Burridge put the broadcast camera on his interviewee and used two iPhones for reverses and wide shot to sustain audience interest.
